Mask North Minneapolis Project

Working with community partners, the Mask North Minneapolis Project is striving to decrease the spread of the COVID-19 virus by increasing the use of masks in North Minneapolis by 80%. The project was started by two family medicine physicians at Broadway Family Medicine in collaboration with the African American Leadership Forum. We hope to provide 1000 masks to this initiative. Mask North Minneapolis Project is asking for masks of any design, as long as they have  3-layers.  See sample instructions below for more information.   The organization also requests sewers complete a Sewer Network Sign Up Form.

Mask Kits Available

Are you in need of fabric? Once again, Sew Good Goods is partnering with Treadle Yard Goods to continue to provide mask kits at no charge for these communities.

The kits include elastic/loops and enough fabric for 12 3-layer adult-sized masks. The kits can be used to make children’s masks as well, and these are also urgently needed.  Kits are available for pickup at Treadle during regular business hours.

Treadle is also serving as a drop-off for finished masks for all four initiatives, in addition to individual hand sanitizer for the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood project.

Thank you for your ongoing support!
